Corn Refiners Association Welcomes Robert Swinford

WASHINGTON, DC – The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is pleased to welcome Robert Swinford to its team. He will serve as Counsel to CRA, working on congressional and regulatory affairs.

“We are very fortunate to have Robert join the CRA,” said John Bode, President and C.E.O. of the CRA. “His experience and legal expertise will help us tremendously in our efforts to advance the interests of our member companies.”

A native of Oklahoma, Robert earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to coming to the CRA, he served as Counsel to East Capitol Partners, a D.C. government relations firm. In that role, he focused on food and agriculture issues including food safety, food labeling, FDA enforcement authorities, and pesticide and plant pest matters.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to work for the CRA,” said Robert. “I look forward to working with the great CRA staff on the important issues before us, as well as with other associations on the many challenges that we share.”

Robert assumed his new position at the CRA on May 23rd.
