CRA’s Nancy Kohler Accepts Position at Grocery Manufacturers Association
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 7, 2013
CONTACT: David Knowles (202) 534-3494
WASHINGTON, DC – The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) congratulates Nancy Kohler on her new position with the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA). Ms. Kohler, who has served as CRA’s Assistant Director of Policy and Operations since 2007, will be Director of Federal Affairs at GMA.
“It is an honor to accept this position with GMA,” said Ms. Kohler. “GMA is an outstanding organization and I look forward to working with their team on the many issues that they face. I also want to thank the CRA for the opportunity that they gave me six years ago. The CRA has a great staff and I wish them the very best.”
In her new position, Ms. Kohler will work to develop and implement successful legislative strategies on behalf of GMA’s member companies, with a particular focus on agriculture policy.
“The CRA was very fortunate to have Nancy as part of its team,” said John Bode, President and C.E.O. of the CRA. “She did an outstanding job of serving the interests of our membership, and I know she will do the same for GMA.”
While at the CRA, Ms. Kohler coordinated the implementation of the association’s legislative agenda, working in collaboration with CRA’s Government Relations Committee and allied associations. She also worked on several safety and technical programs. Prior to joining the CRA, she held positions with Collins and Company, a government relations firm focused on appropriations, and on the staff of Congressman Dave Hobson of Ohio. She will start her new position on May 13th.

The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is the national trade association representing the corn refining (wet milling) industry of the United States. CRA and its predecessors have served this important segment of American agribusiness since 1913. Corn refiners manufacture sweeteners, ethanol, starch, bioproducts, corn oil and feed products from corn components such as starch, oil, protein and fiber.
