NEWS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Shannon Shoesmith November 21, 2001 CORN REFINERS ANNOUNCE NEW OFFICERS The Board of Directors of the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is pleased to announce the election of Michael W. Jorgenson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Roquette America, Inc. as chairman of the organization. The Board also elected J. Patrick Mohan, Esq., President of Support Services for Tate & Lyle North America, Inc. as vice chairman and treasurer of the association. Over the past year, Jorgenson served as vice chairman of the association. As the President and CEO of Roquette America, Jorgenson is responsible for the North American Business of Roquette Frères S.A. He has held various positions ranging from Vice President of Technology and Regulatory Affairs to managing the Specialty Business of Roquette America. Jorgenson began his career with the Union Carbide Corporation after receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. As the President of Support Services for Tate & Lyle North America, Mohan is responsible for all administrative services including finance, government relations, human resources, information systems, purchasing and risk management for all of Tate & Lyle's North American companies. Mohan began his career in the corn refining industry in 1979 as an attorney for A.E. Staley Manufacturing Co., which was acquired by Tate & Lyle in 1988. Mohan, who served as CRA chairman in 1992-93, has been a member of the association's Board of Directors since 1988. The Board is also pleased to announce that Jennifer Snyder, Senior Director of Regulatory and Technical Affairs for CRA was elected to serve as secretary of the association. The Board has arranged for executive management services from DTB Associates, LLP. Kyd D. Brenner of DTB Associates will serve as Interim Director of the organization while the Board considers the future leadership of CRA.
